Davis-Michael Scholarship

For the 2022-2023 academic year, we awarded 62 undergraduate scholarships and 61veterinary school scholarships.

Acceptance into the Davis-Michael Scholars Program is competitive and provides many benefits. These scholarships may continue all the way through completion of an undergraduate degree. Be aware that because of the economic fluctuations, there may not be as much available as in the past.

Students who do not receive a scholarship may still benefit from the activities of the program as long as they maintain a GPA of at least 3.0. Scholars have many opportunities to learn outside of the classroom. Scholarships may be available to work with nonprofit organizations such as the Avian Conservation Center of Appalachia. Students may take advantage of Seminar Series including field trips and guest lectures.

As a scholar, students are expected to participate in community service related activities such as the Davis-Michael Tutoring program as upperclassmen.

To become a Davis-Michael Scholar, students must be enrolled in the Division of Animal and Nutritional Science. Scholars must have a SAT of 1230 and ACT of 26 and complete the Davis-Michael Scholarship Application. Applying for the scholarship, does not guarantee acceptance.
